St Johns Youth Baseball and Girls Softball Association, including its Board of Directors, Coaches and Umpires will work in cooperation with the community to provide local area youth an opportunity to learn and improve the physical and mental skills of the game of baseball and softball. Further, we are committed to fostering a sense of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and honest effort, to promote social, emotional and physical growth; and to help create positive memories that will last a lifetime.
The board would like to remind everybody that this is a Recreational League!
Our intent is to not only teach kids about Baseball and Girls Softball, but to instill in the players a sense of Good Sportsmanship, Team Play, and above all Fair Play!! This league was created for kids to learn the game of Baseball and Girls Softball and to have fun doing it. Let us not forget that this is all for our children.
Let us keep our egos I check and concentrate on the task at hand.
Building strong values, morals and a belief system for your children to be successful and productive members in society is fundamental as youth mentors.
We, as responsible grownups, have given our time and energy to insure the success of the next generation to follow. Your time has not gone UN-appreciated. There are values, good and bad, to be learned from sports. We have all seen examples of both, in all levels of sports play.
Let us concentrate on good values and strive to keep the “GAME” fun and exciting for all who choose to participate!
Remember, it is more than the game of baseball it’s called the “GAME OF LIFE.”
